This game is one of the most enjoyable online experiences to be had, even beating the famous Call of Duty series, in my opinion!

    Story:
The story of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, sadly, can only be experienced in single-player. It centres around the protagonist (you) named Marlowe, who is a member of a special-ops squad named "Bad Company", hence the title of the game. While not wanting to spoil any of the storyline for you, I will say that I found it quite engaging and very dramatic! However, it can feel a bit short, only taking 6 or so hours to complete. There are many collectables to be found, however, which can increase the enjoyment for those that like to hunt for such things! The single-player experience is rather linear at times, but does give you full selection of weaponry and vehicles to use.
    I give the story 8/10

    Gameplay:
I feel this is where the game really shines. Whether you are playing the single-player story or online multiplayer matches, the gameplay is frantic and explosive, while still maintaining a sense of "togetherness". You really can play this game anyway you like, such as going in guns blazing, or camping out high up and picking off enemy troups. The look and feel of each gun and tool is very unique, and with a wide variety, you will never grow bored of firefights! Another fantastic feature, and also a good selling point, is the ability to destroy anything you see on the maps. Be it a wall, vehicle or even a whole building, it can be destroyed with explosive gadgets and weaponry. This means that just because an enemy is behind cover, doesn't mean they are safe!!
    I give the gameplay 10/10

    Graphics:
While not being the best thing since sliced bread, the graphics are very good in Bad Company 2. From the flash of a gun muzzle to the explosions from grenades and RPGs, everything looks and feels realistic. Another positive is the lack of any slowdown of the framerate when playing Bad Company 2. Textures and other effects never pop-in later than expected, which adds to the realism and fluidity of the gameplay. Granted, not everything about the graphics is perfect. A few grainy textures here and there can mar the experience somewhat, but the overall effect is very polished. EA have done a great job on this one!
    I give the graphics 9/10

    Online Multiplayer:
This is where the game really stands out from the pack. Online is split into several modes, namely Rush, Conquest, Squad Deathmatch, Squad Rush, and Onslaught as DLC. Rush is an attack and defend mode where teams take turns blowing up and defending satellite stations. Conquest is a mode where teams have to take and hold several bases until the enemy's reinforcements are depleted. Both of these modes have two teams against each other. However, Bad Company 2 uses a squad bases system. In your team, you can join up with up to 3 other players in a "squad". Which then allows you to help each other out. Your squadmates are highlighted in green on the map, and when you are killed, you can respawn to any of your squadmates that are currently active. This feature is fantastic if you have a group of friends that you wish to play with. Also of note are the sizes of the maps. The maps used in both Rush and Conquest are vast in size. This creates the sense of a full-scale battle, as things are always going on somewhere around you. Vehicle combat is also a big plus, as you can use a variety of quadbikes, trucks, tanks and helicopters, as well as a remote controlled miniature heli called a UAV that can call down airstrikes! While you battle online, each action you do will give you experience points in that category. There are 4 different classes you can pick, with each being levelled up to receive yet more weapons, gadgets and specialisations. Specialisations are bonuses awarded when you receive enough experience. The classes each have their own distinct feel to them. The assault class is suited to "run and gun" tactics, whereas the recon class is more for players that like to use sniper rifles. There is a great incentive to continue playing online, as you can unlock a great amount of new items doing so.
I give the online multiplayer 10/10

    Controls:
The control system used in Bad Company 2 is strange at first, but then becomes second nature. It is as easy to run around on foot as it is to pilot a helicopter! With the shoulder buttons designated to grenades and combat knife, and the d-pad used for gadgets, you will never find yourself having to look at which button to press during the game.
    I give the controls 10/10

    Replayability:
With all the weapons, ranks, gadgets, collectibles, specialisations and achievements to earn, this game will keep you wanting to come back for more, and more!! You can find yourself spending hours on this game, maybe even days!
    I give replayability 10/10

Overall, this game is easily worth £30. Also, the game could easily be one of the best first-person games of the past decade.

Battlefield BC2 is far far more superior to COD MW2. The story mode is fantastic, easy to follow, witty and great fun. You get to use a variety of vehicles, and you really get involved with it.
The multiplayer is in a league of its own - amazing! I used to play Battlefield on PC and was so amazed and ecstatic to find that they've incorporated a lot of the PC stuff to the PS3. Using tanks, helicopters, UAVs, Hum Vs and quadbikes to trek around the maps is great fun. The maps are brilliant, pretty large, and offer some great sniper points. Also the weapons are brilliant, realistic, and there are plenty of them, destructive scenery. AMAZING. So realistic. I was surprised how I enjoyed this more than COD games, BBC 2 is more enjoyable and has more to offer with online play and the fact everything can blow up! Is a great feature, this game is very similar to BLACK which was on the PS2 which is a good thing by the way!! lol

I would of gave it a 4 and half star but you can't so it's a 5 from me, only because the Graphics are not brilliant and the fact you can only Crouch to hide (bit like COD)

    Gameplay: 4/5
    Graphics: 5/5
    Features: 5/5
    Online Play: 5/5
