Nintendogs Cats Nintendo 3DS
The latest offering from the simulated pet genre, Nintendogs and Cats is one of the first games available for the 3DS. And the result is fantastic. These cute little puppies and kittens are so lifelike you won't ever succumb to a real-life version (complete with hair, slobber and claws) again. There are Golden Retriever, French Bulldog and Toy Poodle versions with the added bonus of kittens to satisfy any cat-lovers who may have felt left out in the past.
Each version allows you to pick out your very own fluffy bundle of joy from a selection of nine incredibly realistic breeds. The puppies' looks, traits and mannerisms are so well presented and so amazingly accurate that they appear bizarrely lifelike and wholly reminiscent of their real-life equivalents. The realism is even more enhanced due to the 3D effect of the 3DS.
The game play is as expected - you must feed your pet, play with it and take it for plenty of walks (though don't forget to clean up after it). You can train him to do do tricks and can even take part in competitions with him; obedience, agility and Frisbee catching. Using the 3DS's Street Pass you can swap presents, photos and puppies with friends and can even meet up in a park with other owners.
Nintendogs and Cats is a must-have for pet lovers young and old.
