It has disabled Shao Kahn from taking the realm by force, as now he will have to take on some of the bravest and most disciplined and skilful warriors around, who will fight till the death for what is right.

Earthrealm mortals must tirelessly battle against the darkness in order to save their world - faced with many brutal and deadly enemies, they must emerge victorious, otherwise suffer the fate of evil darkness.
