I saw this game and thought it looked brilliant, a lot of freedom, and a lot to do, but heard many people say it looked like shovel-ware, but I went with my instincts, and pre-ordered it, and how glad I am that I did.

    GAMEPLAY:
From the very start you are able to wonder around freely, either on your own with one player, or up to 3 friends in multi-player (Great for stopping sibling rivalry) with split screen, but you only have the marine resort at the start, you eventually unlock the others, which is easy.
This lady suggests a activity to try, (you don't have to do it in the order she mentions) when you do a activity for the first time, it is a basic game just so you learn the basics of that activity, once a activity is completed for the first time, then you get a badge, and when you return next time, more options will be open to you. Every 3 or 4 badges, a new resort is open, starting with, City, Snow, Mountain then the Villa grounds.
Each resort has its own means of transportation of which you can hop on and off at your own pleasure, All in their own way are enjoyable to ride, and a easy to control.
There is so much to do & explore, you shouldn't be bored for a long time, when wondering across the resorts, there are other people there to doing their own thing, swimming, chatting, snowboarding, skating etc, so you never truly feel alone, but if you still do, there is the option to have a dog follow you around, there are 9 breeds to choose from, all of which have 5 colour variations, or at times you can find somebody hanging around in a resort, who could be from your Mii list, to follow you around and do what you do, which can be funny at times.
Creating and Dressing your character is good, (you can choose between their in game avatars or your Mii to play you) but not as free as I hoped, you can choose the basic face for your avatar, which has all the facial features & hair chosen for you, and as for the clothes, when it comes to the body clothing, they are all one outfit, cant choose the top & trousers separately, but all outfits & other clothing has about 15 colour variations to choose from.
The villa grounds are cool, I wish I had one like it in real life, the view is great, the house is nice, and you don't have to load every time you want to just walk in your house, as you walk up to the door, you push it open, and just walk right in. You start off with two basic designs, Log Cabin & Simple, as you play activities & achieve things, you gain Gold and Silver keys, which you can use to unlock house designs & furniture. Furnishing is a bit long winded, but if you patient and have time on your hands, it could be great! You can also Have up to eight Villas in the grounds, one belonging to each character made in the game.

    CONTROLS:
The controls are easy and simple, at first you may be a bit wobbly, but it doesn't take long to get the idea of it, the activities all have their different ways of controlling, but once again, quite easy to get the hang of, children of the ages of 7+ should find it easy themselves. Some little hidden controls for when wondering around, when you are standing still, either on foot or a vehical, press the up button on the wii remote to wave, Right to celebrate, Down to get angry and left to get depressed, and press the 1 button when on foot standing still to whistle.
You can use wii accessories in some of the activities, including, Wii Balance Board, Wii Wheel, Wii Zapper & Motion Plus, there are 4 games that use and need the Motion plus, that's the "Laser Sword Fights", "Wind Surfing", "Ace Pitcher" and a certain level in "Tennis" (you can play a few normal games in tennis without the motion plus).

    GRAPHICS:
They are surprisingly good, even better then Wii Sports Resort, the water it much better that WSR, and so are the textures of the sand, grass, trees etc, very surprisingly good, but overall its great for the wii!

    MULTI-PLAYER:
Already touched on this slightly, but will add a few more details, as soon as the game starts, you are able to choose multi-player, up to four players can play, and you are all free to wonder around, jump on their vehical, and zoom off anywhere they like, or you could all stick together, up to them, what ever you prefure, but when one player talks to somebody, finds something, etc, you all gather round (including the dog) to see what it is, in some cases it jumps you back to whatever you where doing just before the person was spoken to, in other cases, you all end up starting there where that person is, Which is annoying if all players haven't given the go Ahead to do so. But in multi-player, you can all do anything you could do in single player mode.

    MUSIC:
If you have watched trailer on the games website, then that is the basic of what the music is like all the way through in the game, fun, cheerful, but not to annoying, though if you into heavy rock, you may find it annoying, But personally I like it!

    CONS:
Not many cons with this game, though could do with better the dressing up the character as I mentioned earlier, online play would of been perfect, but it lacks it, and those 4 activities that NEED the Motion Plus and that is really it.

    OVERALL:
It is a great game, and definitely NOT shovel-ware, Nintendo have helped in advertising it and publishing it, so that says a lot, it also took over two years to make, so that says a lot also, that they took time in making it! Great for all the family, and certain games great for parties, kids, teens & adults alike should enjoy this!

    10/10
