Players will take on the role of Aeron , a soldier, who does everything he can to try to rescue his beloved friend Elena from an evil curse that is causing her to mutate and which is progressively transforming her into a grossly demonic monster. She becomes more and more grotesque the longer she is left without your help; time is against you so you will have to plan your strategy carefully.

Use your sword and a magical Oraclos chain to help you defeat the menacing creatures that lie in wait in the thirteen sinister towers of a nearby fortress then slay the monsters and feed their meat to Elena to reverse the decay and cure her from her devastating curse. As your mission progresses you will find and collect a variety of items and weapons which may be upgraded or recreated into better weapons by a mysterious character you will meet; a merchant called Mavda. Some of the items may be used as gifts to woo Elena or they may be used to help you succeed in your battles. How you decide to use these is up to you.

There are multiple endings possible and every choice you make will influence your ultimate success; the fate of poor Elena is therefore totally in your hands.
