Child of Light (PS3, PC) is Ubisoft's new fairy tale-like coming-of-age adventure platform RPG in which the game-player adopts the role of Aurora - a child who has been taken from her home and mysteriously placed in the magical world of Lemuria.
The Black Queen has stolen the Sun, the Moon and all the Stars and Aurora with help from her playable friend Igniculus (the firefly), must take on her dangerous quest to overthrow the evil Queen, recapture the lights and restore normality to the Kingdom of Lemuria. As she embarks on her bizarre journey through the extraordinary enchanted kingdom she will come across numerous mythical creatures including talking mice, friendly fairies and gnomes plus ferocious wolves, monsters and dragons. She must defeat her adversaries from the dark and return the Stolen Lights to their rightful place.
Aurora will fight (utilising an Active Time Battle system) alongside her firefly friend (who may be controlled by a second player). If she is successful she will earn her release and to be allowed to return back home to her father the Duke.
