I looked forward to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 for the Wii but upon playing it I was bitterly disappointed.
The game starts off where part 1 left off except all the spells you unlocked in the first game are locked again! all you can do at the star of the game is cast "Stupefy" and "Protego" which is some what annoying.
As with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, this game plays like a 1st person shooter which is surprising given the unpopular response to this style of game play from Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallow part 1, many fans feel this was not in the spirit of Harry Potter but like it or not the game developers have stuck with it.
As for the spells themselves once again it seems like the game developers are more interested in cashing in on the Harry Potter brand than making a good game. All the spells (with the exception of "protego") are wrong! and what I mean by that is anybody who has seen a Harry Potter film or read a book knows what these spells can do but it seems the game developers either didn't know or didn't care enough to find out what the spells were supposed to to for example "Expelliarmus" is one of the most well known spells from the Harry Potter series as are its effects, for those who don't know it is a disarming spell, yet in this game it is used to shatter an opponents shield spell, this kind of sloppiness carries on in the game play, the camera angles are awkward and shaky and the animation leaves a lot to be desired, Harry runs like he desperately needs the toilet, and the AI are not worth the pixels they are coded in, for some reason the developers felt it necessary to make Ron sound panicked for no good reason every time he spoke.
There was a couple of nice touches compared to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 being able to play as other characters at certain points in the game was amusing but it was essentially just a different skin seeing as playing as another character makes no difference to what you can do and Duelling as Hermiony against Greyback or Molly against Bellatrix was fun.
Unfortunately there is very little good about this game, its incredibly short (I completed it in under 3 hours), the graphics are shoddy as are the camera angles.
If you play this game not liking or caring about Harry Potter it could be considered an ok shoot 'em up but if you didn't care or like Harry Potter then why would you play it?
Fans of Harry Potter will be bitterly disappointed by this shoddy excuse for a Harry Potter game, It's obvious it was made to make a quick buck
